It's touted as a smash hit thriller, a film of Hitchcockian suspense. Dominik Moll's Harry (He Is Here To Help) is an engaging, sporadically suspenseful, frequently amusing drama that combines genre and allusion into a successful mix.
Michel and Claire are on holiday and are driving to meet his parents. While travelling there Michel bumps into an old school mate, the affable Harry, who beguiles Michel by reciting a poem which Michel had written in the school yearbook 20 years ago. Before long Harry invites himself and his girlfriend, Plum, to Michel's parents. Harry continues to try and endear himself to Michel. Harry even goes as far as buying Michel a new 4WD when Michel and Claire's car breaks down. However with every gift there are always strings attached, and the receiver must be very wary of becoming entangled.
