Good, stretchy bit also firm. Feels pretty sturdy, though it will offer no magic wand for your dog if they're an energetic lead puller like our pup. Still a tad concerned about whether he will cause me to pull something in my lower back on this lead at some point, but that's not the lead, that's just him. Once trained to go on jogs, I think it will be great. The pocket is great for treats, poo bags, a cheeky fiver for the dairy and whatever else you need.
