These short stories and sketches are derived from a stunning volume of philosophical reflections, brief narratives, and prose poems from Proust's first published work. Set amid the salon society of fin-de-siecle Paris, the tales offer satirical and moving depictions of a fascinating cast of characters. Includes the original French with English translation on facing pages.
