The draw holes don't match up to where the rollers are meant to go. One of the roller slides needed bending to work properly. The instructions are useless they don't tell you how to connect the draw to the desk and they give you screws that you aren't told where they go and holes that match to nothing. Do not buy this desk

I happily use mighty ape all the time and consider them quite reliable who sell quality goods with great customer service. This desk, however ( their brand + manufactured by mighty ape ) has been my first disappointing experience. The instructional sheet is a one-side page with drawings that do not have any important detail whatsoever such as distinctive holes or features of the individual piece, or at least numbers on any of the about 15– 16 pieces- A lot of which are similarly sized but with minuscule differences that mean the difference between building a desk or a Frankenstein hunk of particleboard. Very vague in instruction. I'm not exaggerating when I say you are left on your own to figure out what is what and how what comes together. The drawer sliders/tracks are not pre-installed AND the instructions are conveniently not included to help you attach them either. The 4– or so different small to tiny parts to put it all together are all delicately chucked into one big bag for you to sort through (with no inventory on the instructions of how many nor images to differ which ones to use, only arrows ). Tools are not included but that doesn't really bother me much whatsoever. Basically, I would only ever recommend this desk to someone I disliked.

It came in a 41kg flat pack. The instructions are minimal and you mainly assemble by intuition. For anyone who hasn't used these type of screws before, the stick shaped screws, screw into the plastic lined holes. The circle ones, go in the circle holes with the opening facing the nearest hole. They interconnect and then you twist the circle one to fasten them in place. This will only make sense to someone who has received the flat pack but it will be welcome assistance due to the minimal instructions. The drawer, does not have pre cut holes for the screws, those should be done with a drill or force. I like the desk, it was harder to build than IK*A but a stronger, sturdier product to finish with. The drawer may catch on the screws of the drawer slide if you do not replace them with smaller ones without a flat head. Basically, kind of difficult to assemble but a nice table.

As per other reviews, the assembly instructions are a joke. Once you get it sorted the lock screws work well but having to put in the drawer runners blind was a challenge. Mine had a defective runner – apparently a replacement is on its way – the jury is out on whether it will fix my problem. Mighty Ape have been great in helping so here’s hoping. Couple weeks later the problem has been identified by my very handy neighbour. Mighty Ape this is a great product seriously let down by the dreadful instructions. Fix that and you won’t need to special it.

While assembling this unit I found it was missing anchor points for the cam and dowel system making it impossible to complete.After two weeks of attempting to source a part locally I was unsuccessful. Mighty Ape customer service were good and were prepared to replace the panel (They should not have needed to do so. The build quality is low – it is very much a case of you get what you pay for. The instructions are incorrect, effectively incomprehensible and if I hadn’t built many of this style of furniture over the years I would have been at a loss to actually put this thing together. Once assembled the panels are not a great fit and the drawer runners are obviously different from the original design (which is predrilled) and bear no relation to the holes. Additionally they are such a tight fit it needed additional modification to make it work. Not a product I would recommend to anyone.

I bought this desk 2 years ago but have only just put it up now I’ve moved into my new house. Instructions were basic, and doesn’t give you hardware count so couldn’t work out if anything was missing till towards the end of putting it together. It feels sturdy and very impressed that the cupboards fit vinyl. Pieces were a bit grubby with what appears to have been stickers, but given it’s been in storage for 2 years I expected it to be grubby. Great desk!

The instructions if you can call them that were crumpled up and ripped. The instructions were the worst I have ever seen. The wrong drawer slides were sent so I had to purchase the correct slides. Absolutely never buying office furniture from here again.

So… As I want to keep this short as possible, I’ll get straight to the point. The table comes with very minimal cryptic instructions and no labels on anything so you’re left to figure out what part belongs where. The countless screws are a pain in the backside to deal with and the drawer is just horrible to put together. If you don’t have a drill I would just steer very clear of this table. I usually enjoy a good challenge at DIY furniture assembly but this one has me beat. I have to say I spent a good 6 hours just trying to figure out what is what and assembling it. If you’re still interested then brace yourself because you get what you pay for.

This desk was OK to put together..... But every single piece had chipped laminate, the shelves on the side can only go on one side, it was pretty grubby when I pulled it out too.

The instructions are very useless. Miki’s review is spot on about the assembly. Have to cut holes in yourself and it was a mission to work out. However, if you survive the battle then it is a good quality product and my daughter loves her new Desk, it’s sturdy and has a nice clean finished look.
