Farmer Pimp, a unique five-piece live trip-hop band from Auckland, comprises an eclectic mix of instruments and styles; Vocals (Claire Holmes), Bass and Vocals (Mark Michel), Keys (JP Muer), Violin (Mahuia Bridgman-Cooper), and Alex Simeti on Drums.
After the success of ‘Good Thing’, Farmer Pimp applied for a ‘New
Recording Artist’ funding grant from NZ on Air, their first attempt proving
fruitful for the summer classic
‘Celebrate’. They filmed a video for this song, which received a good deal
of airplay over all the major networks.
Farmer Pimp have just returned from an orientation tour of Wellington and Palmerston North gigging with Shihad, Rhombus, Module and Odessa, to release their debut EP ‘Good Thing’.
