Girls Will Be Girls offers solutions to the problems girls face famously, identified in the best-seller Reviving Ophelia. Deak looks past 'scare' stories to those that enlighten parents and enable them to empower girls. Drawing from the latest brain research on girls, she illustrates the exciting new ways in which we can help our daughters learn and thrive. Presented with the voices of girls themselves as they struggle with body image, self-esteem, intellectual growth, peer pressure, and media messages, many parents will find this a practical and masterful guide.
