Description

To increase productivity in tomato, it is necessary to develop superior varieties/hybrids. This is, in part, dependent on variability in the genetic material which affects agro-morphological and biochemical characters in crop breeding. A study was conducted with 30 tomato germplasm at Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, SHIATS, Allahabad, India during 2012-13 using Randomized Complete Block Design to determine genetic relationship and diversity to select germplasm and traits for breeding.
