Author Biography:

Karen grew up in Marin County, CA where her love to run and explore the hills and pastures was nurtured by Marin's natural resources. She left to pursue a degree in exercise physiology and returned seven years later, married and ready to embark on her carrier as a health educator and begin a family. Karen's passions include running, reading, writing and photography but most significant in her life is her family. Along with her husband, Steve, Karen has two daughters, Whitney and Madison. They are her true jewels.
