I didn't know much about Friday Night Lights but heard it is loved by critics and a small, passionate fan base, so I decided to give it a go and then ended up finishing the first season in one day. It seems ridiculous at first that a series about a small town obsessed with high school football could be so good but I found myself invested in the characters and cheering for the team. A great first season and I am definitely glad I decided to try it.
