"Disappointingly bare and unfinished, but addictive nonetheless."
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I'm a little bit disappointed. After expecting so much from the new game on the new console, its a kick in the face that Forza 5 was rushed out as a day one game to help sell consoles. Too much content cut out and resold as DLC, too many features asked for since Forza 2 that haven't been implemented, way way way too many bugs and errors that show it up as an unfinished product, and a focus on graphics at the expense of content. You ooh and aah at graphics for only so long, content and gameplay options are what ensure a game's longevity.

That said, I'm hopelessly addicted to Forza and will no doubt spend countless hours playing it. The new physics engine is great, except cars seem WAY too tail happy, the Drivatar system is an interesting take on AI.

"One step forward, one step back"

The graphics are superb and the driving physics are awesome but the lack of variety in cars and tracks is a huge let down. It feels like a rushed job to get it out for day one and now they will just make a fortune with DLC cars.

"WOW."

Loving the graphics looks very lifelike on the big tv. Got the sound going through the surround sound speakers and the sound of the engines is just as good as the video. Get in a V8 car or truck and crank up the subwoofer to feel the engine shaking the floorboards. Change the view to the inside of the car and really feel like you are in the car. Just wish I was a better driver and could spend more time on the track instead of the grass and actually win a race sometimes. Only problem when I originally installed it on launch day the loading times were horrible. Took an hour or more to install from the game disk though it did say that I could start playing after about 15 minutes or something when it was roughly 25 percent installed. I also had the extra download content from the launch day to install and that was queued up for a long time waiting for the first install to finish before it could start installing. Didn't see how long it took to install the extra content as I went to bed and let it run overnight. Now load times are not a problem since it installed fully. Takes a bit less than a minute to start a new race so it's pretty fast. I got about 5 XBOXONE games at launch and this is my favourite out of all of them.

"The best racing game hands down."

This game is a level above of its last with so many great cars, a lot of input from the topgear team which is always a laugh. It has everything a car junky ever wants. A brilliant buy.

"Quality over quantity"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Compared to forza 4 this game is actually quite tiny. The number of cars has been considerably reduced and there do not seem to be as many tracks. However what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. The graphics are astounding and the gameplay is much more immersive especially with the addition of the rumble effects in the controller. Truly a great game.
