Liverpool lard stocks at the end of December were seasonally reduced below figures for earlier months, but the current total is about 27 per cent larger than a year ago. The weakness in Liverpool lard quotations during most of the past pork marketing season was accentuated in November and December with the price averaging during the first half of December.
