When Billy (ever on the lookout for trouble) eats some of his father's special Fish Crisps, he lands his whole family in a particular spot of bother. He alerts Donna Mezzweme (international spy) to the existence of the much-valued and highly-sought after Crisps; he draws the attentions of the local school bully not only to him but also to his brother and sister; and he also risks life and fin in an encounter with a killer whale at the nearby zoo. A very funny, pacy read.
Dino-Egg is Catriona's second book for children, and is the sequel to her first, Fish. It was observing her children's particular take on life - and the reaction of children to adults in general - that inspired her to sit down and write Fish. Charlie and her family live in Edinburgh; and her children would like to stress that Fish is a work of fiction, and that any resemblance to real persons is purely coincidental.
