Trade, raid and settle the world of the Middle Ages. Cross the seas to the edges of the world. Fight bravely under the banner of the Raven and proudly take your place in Valhalla!

Make the civilized world tremble and make priests fervently pray: 'Lord, protect us from the fury of the Northmen.'

Fire and Axe gives players a chance to take on the role of Vikings during multiple voyages between 750 AD and 1020 AD. Each voyage begins in Scandinavia, where Vikings and goods get on board and runes are cast. During the expeditions, you will trade with the locals, raid their treasures or try to establish settlements. If you can, you will try to accomplish sagas, which will be repeated by the skalds. The speed at which you will gain riches and notoriety will determine how great a mark your Jarl will have left on the Middle Ages.

Contents: 1 rulebook, 1 game board, 33 rune cards, 27 saga cards, 5 longboat tiles, 1 compass token, 33 goods tokens, 3 last turn tokens, 1 preparation marker, 1 navigation marker, 15 treasure tiles, 67 gold coins, 5 longboat figurines, 75 viking figurines, 3 large town figurines, 3 large town raid tokens, 12 small town figurines, 12 small town raid tokens, 3 dice.
