This training manual has been developed in recognition of the need for special procedures and standards for youth training within the Fire and Rescue Service. The manual offers uniformity in approach to practical training and provides a link between training activities and the Young Person Development Programme produce by the Fire Services Youth Training Association. The manual is divided into sections dealing with planning and implementation, risk management, standard practices, techniques and scenario based training.
