"Definitely a side project"

I guess the makers had better things to do when they decided to do this, or maybe they were too busy focusing on a bigger, better final fantasy game (not IX), that this got the odd touch now and then… Yet, it didn't stop me from buying the whole lot now, did it??

The chocobos are cute, and i definitely liked the magun that Kaze has and the idea of specially used combinations of bullets creating summons(I think all of which are seen in the Final Fantasy games series)… The main characters looked pretty cool, although the enemies are a little… not worth mentioning?? Some characters are just plain rude and annoying…

All in all, there are some really good stuff in this series though there is definitely room for improvement;D So, if you like chocobos, summons, quirky fun characters and can tolerate really annoying voices (in English and Japanese)- then, give it a shot… Otherwise, rent it- so then, you won't be kicking yourself afterwards for having bought it.

Being a huge fan of the final fantasy series of games i was hoping to see something similar to that in this movie. however i was treated to absolute rubbish. the characters are so transparent and the movie has no depth whatsoever. if you play final fantasy 7 on playstation you will witness one of the best games ever made if not the best. the rest of the series: 8, 9, 10 I have played and are not that great at all. but they all have a simailar story and interesting characters that make you want to see how it all ends. I cannot recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of final fantasy but those who havent heard or played it then maybe you can waste your money like i did. The animation is very budget the characters are some of the most plain looking character animation i have seen, maybe this wouldve been ok say 10 years ago. Also im not a big fan of 3d incorporated into manga, this takes away alot of the feeling and emotion of the scenes and this 3d animation in this is not that hot either. This review is my personal review maybe there might be someone who finds this movie appealing but its not worth it. I wanted to stop the movie 15mins into it.
