Description

Gordie White has drawn upon his journals to craft stories that demonstrate his respect and wonder of the great outdoors. He not only illustrates the thrill of hunting as a sport, but as a pursuit that intertwines man and nature. It is about understanding the world we live in from Africa to South America and from Canada to Mexico. They are stories of the places he has visited, the game he pursed, the people who joined him and the experiences of a lifetime.

Author Biography:

Gordie White was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He grew up hunting and fishing with his father, brother, and grandfather. After completing a BA in Economics from Concordia University, Gordie began his big game guiding career. He has lived and hunted extensively throughout North America, Central America, South America, the South Pacific, and Africa. His professional pursuits include working in Zimbabwe with a safari company where he spent most of his time hunting elephant and buffalo. Stateside, he was the Operations Manager for a very successful hunting plantation in Georgia, and most recently, managed large hunting ranches in South Texas, dedicated to proper management for trophy whitetail deer and wild quail. Gordie has spent his professional career in the field, and now consults worldwide big game hunting and wing shooting. He lives with his daughter in Wimberley, Texas.
