Funny to think that Infinite Feel is Jacques Greene’s debut LP. Seven years on from his debut release on the first Night Slugs All Stars compilation, the Montreal producer has become focal to the global dance music scene, both as a name and the manner in which his ebullient, emotional deep house production style has spread its influence so far. Feel Infinite feeds the most distinctive features of his style – warm swells of sub bass, jacked r&b vocal samples, retro-tinged keys etc – through the prism of a full-length LP. His aim to produce a well-rounded album means that Feel Infinite surprises the listener without ever straying too far from what Greene does best. Tracks like To Say and Real Time are classy rollers, but he’s also willing to explore – for instance the How To Dress Well-featuring True, a curveball that sounds like James Blake covering Migos.
“Feel Infinite is a perfectly sequenced manifesto of Greene’s work up to date. Less of a debut and more of a bookend, it listens like an aural autobiography of Greene’s influences and productions, a release that will satisfy old fans as well as find new ones without compromising the clarity of his vision.” 9/10 – Clash
“Feel Infinite is warm and inviting, a taut mix of R&B love songs to finding your true self on the floor.” 7.6 /10 – Pitchfork
