Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Amy Heckerling’s 1982 coming-of- age cult classic, written by Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) is a raw, rollicking, rock’n’roll teen comedy about a year in the lives of several sophomore students at Ridgemont High School. Stacy Hamilton (Academy Award® nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh, The Hateful Eight) is at a crossroads in her adolescent life. Inexperienced in love and the language of boys, all she needs is a little bit of confidence to help her on her way. With advice from her friend Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates, Gremlins) Stacy steps out of her comfort zone, caught up in an awkward love triangle with handsome Mark Ratner (Brian Backer, Moving Violations) and his pal Mike Damone (Robert Romanus) destined to change her life and rock her young world. With a roll-call of classic classroom characters such as slacker Spicoli (Sean Penn, Mystic River), Hamilton (Judge Reinhold, Beverly Hills Cop), Jefferson (Forest Whitaker, Good Morning Vietnam), Fast Times at Ridgemont High also features a young Nicolas (Coppola) Cage (National Treasure), Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction) and James Russo (Donnie Brasco), as well as a cracking 80s soundtrack pumping out Oingo Boingo, The Cars, The Go-Go’s, Stevie Nicks, Sammy Hagar, Joe Walsh, Don Henley and Jackson Browne.
