Liz McPike was for many years the editor of a journal on education. Her three children, all grown up now, never stopped being "every wish answered." She is the author of two previous books: Little Sleepyhead and Little Bitty Friends. She lives in Washington, DC. Jay Fleck is a designer and illustrator based in Shorewood, Illinois.
