Everything in the Garden is a poignant yet entertaining account of the dilemmas facing women in late-middle age. it is about a group of 50-something couples who sell up their city homes to buy a rambling farmhouse in mid-Wales. They propose to live not communally, but in close harmony, growing old with the support of tried and trusted friends. However, Anna finds that far from supporting her through a string of crises, her friends are becoming strangers. But only then, after being forced to leave, she begins to womder whether they would really miss her if she left...

Author Biography

Jo Verity is the author of "Bells," "Not Funny Not Clever," and "Sweets from Morocco." She has written numerous short stories and has won the Richard & Judy Short Story Prize and the "Western Mail" short story competition.
