Entrepreneurship.....the buzz word and the future. Add woman and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to it and the future is complete. SMEs are renowned engines for growth of economies and and women entrepreneurship is growing and must be researched more. This book or study explores whether there is a causal relationship between various elements of institutional support and the effectiveness of women's entrepreneurial ventures. Institutional support encompasses financial support, services awareness, policy support and representational organisations support. In addition, it sought to establish the adequacy of the institutional support which was available at the time through research. The focus was on women owned SMEs in Harare, Zimbabwe. The mantra, "information is power" holds true, but there was limited information and a cry for more institutional support.
