Author Biography

John Stringer is Head of Education for The Future is Wild. After a science degree and graduate teacher training, he worked in primary education for twenty-seven years in every role from classroom teacher to schools adviser. He began writing in his spare time when he was a head teacher or school principal, and eventually moved from teaching into freelance educational consultancy and writing. He has had worldwide experience as an inservice trainer, and worked as a college lecturer and schools inspector. The four consecutive primary science schemes on which he collaborated for Pearson companies have been the UK's most widely used for the past twenty-five years, and he has also written many other school resources, trade books and for magazines and journals.
