This movie is down-right boring. I've watched it a few times and still don't like it any more. There are interesting parts but they are few and far between – Emma being brought down to size after a smart comment and then right at the end when all ends well. Certainly not Austen's best work (the book is boring too) but if you want to watch Emma go for the newer version in the Jane Austen collection set.
