The selections are taken from Schuon's unpublished letters and papers as well as from his books. The free-flowing arrangement of the excerpts allows the reader to explore the author's writings in an almost carefree manner as if taking a meditative stroll through a garden. This edition has been re-translated and expanded to include 19 pages of additional inspiring passages.

Author Biography

Frithjof Schuon (1907-1998) was the twentieth century's pre-eminent spokesman for the perennialist school of comparative religious thought. Schuon wrote more than 30 books which have been translated into over a dozen languages and are respected by academic and religious authorities alike. Patrick Casey served as an aide and secretary to Frithjof Schuon for over 20 years. He lives in Bloomington, Indiana.
