"Great Game - heaps of replay value"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

My current favourite game – plenty of replay value and plenty of different strategies players can take to get to victory. If you are going to play it as much as I have – I recommend getting card protectors as you do a lot of shuffling of cards and they definitely get some wear and tear. The game is pretty straight forward but on first look can be visually intimidating to new players/gamers. Especially if they haven't played another worker placement game or deck building game before. I try to ease in new players by playing something like stone age (worker placement) and dominion (deck building) first.

Knowing anything about the DUNE IP can help in explaining the game but it is not necessary for enjoyment of the game.

"Great mid level complexity Euro Game"

Great fun. A bit above Gateway level but not that complex. Lots of fun.

"Gameplay design is incredible"
5 stars"

When I looked at the components online, I was not initially believing of all the praise heaped on this game from various sources. All the sources were right, though! My oh my, the narratives that can be weaved through this game by abstraction, the strategical plays, the multiplayer and solo experience are all top notch!

"Brilliant game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There’s a reason why this won game of the year for 2021. Great balance, rich depth, clever components. Thoroughly enjoyable and well worth buying the deluxe upgrade pack (if you can find it in stock).

"Fun, devious"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is a fun game, with various ways to win, all of which put you in direct conflict with the other players. Works OK with 2 and the ‘automatic’ player, is ok with 3, and shines with 4 players. Mix of worker placement, resource management, conflict and deck building. The game is very tight, there's no room for unfocussed moves, and you can really stitch each other up. Recommend for people who like to juggle, adapt and playfight

"Great game, a lot of playability"

I'm always initially suspicious about any game that is themed off the back of the movie, but this game is great! We've played heaps and so far been able to figure out a number of strategies. It's the go to game at the moment for our group. It's also very different to Dune – the spice must flow so it's great having both.
