"A good game.....10 years ago"
2 stars"

Review by shaun on 18th June, 2011

The graphics are average, the jokes are crude and you will spend a long time waiting at loading screens (30 secconds or more) only to die and see them all over again. Wait for a big price drop or rent it

"Hail to the king, and kill"
3 stars"

Review by David on 13th June, 2011

I think where this game holds its appeal is the humour. As far as FPS's go its just a stock standard game…i actually dont find the campaign mode overly engaging…funny, yes..but thus far it just seems like a ‘go to the next area, get blocked in, fight several waves of enemys and move to the next area’

I have been enjoying the multiplayer, capture the babe is pretty funny…basically capture the flag…but with babes!! – i think its long term appeal for me will be in the multiplayer

"Better then most pll think"
5 stars"

Review by Karl on 4th February, 2012

For a 30+ guy like me who has been playing games since the days of doom and quake I enjoyed this game a lot (rude and crude but lots of fun)

"Good but...."
3 stars"

Review by Blair on 17th July, 2011

Ok so I was really looking forward to this game for god knows how many years but I started playing it, it was very noticeable that this game is extremely dated. Old graphics with old gameplay but don't get me wrong it's still enjoyable to play just as long as you don't expect much from it :)

"Meh.."
2 stars"

Review by Matt on 18th June, 2011

I suppose its what we expected, I guess I just expected to enjoy it more…

It's definitely got some good parts to it, few laughs, alongside some cool shooting and explosion's, I especially like the shrink gun. However there's a whole bunch of boring frustrating stages as well.

I love Duke, but to be honest if it wasn't for the ‘Duke Nukem’ logo this game wouldn't be anything.

Disappointed.

"Definitely not good, but also not as bad as everyone thinks"
3 stars"

Review by Aaron on 4th March, 2012

After a fair few hours of play, i definitely cannot write home about this game. However the game is just another average shooter (with some jokes in poor taste mixed in there for good measure). It is not even close to the worst game ive played.

Description

Put on your shades and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can’t stop our hero from accomplishing his one and only goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it. The King arrives with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, non-stop action, and unprecedented levels of interactivity. Duke Nukem was and will forever be immortalized in gaming history; this is his legend.

Features:
  • Return of the King of All Shooters: He’s back, baby! The King of All Shooters returns in an explosive and action packed shooter that puts pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek, among other places. Kick ass from the Vegas Strip to the Hoover Dam all while serenading your ears with your favorite Duke-isms.
  • Interact With the World, the Duke Way: Experience a fully interactive and immersive look into Duke’s world. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on white boards or ogle one of the many beautiful women that populate Duke’s life; that is if you can pull yourself away long enough from kicking ass and taking names.
  • Kick-Ass Arsenal Puts the F-U Into Fun: Obliterate enemies in style while giving them the Duke Nukem one finger salute. Prepare to shoot enemies in the face with a bad-ass assortment of shotguns, RPGs, pipe bombs and other trademark Duke Nukem tools of destruction. That’s going to leave a mess!
