This adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of the lost gems of the 1970s. Jack Palance's portrayal of Dracula taps into the original Stoker charactisation of Dracula's desire for romance more than bloodlust, the pathos of his character has only ever been matched by Gary Oldman in Coppola's 1992 version. The way Palance moves in the film in a silent and deadly way is reminiscent of Murnau's Nosferatu. Expertly supported by Nigel Davenport as Van Helsing and Simon Ward as Arthur Holmwood this production relies on excellent acting and screenplay rather than big budget special effects. An outstanding screenplay by Richard Matheson (The Night Stalker, The Omega Man) make this made for TV production one of the best entries in the vampire genre. Special Features: * Jack Palance Interview * Dan Curtis Interview * Dracula European Theatrical Trailer
