# 08 - The chamaleon
When Dr Foyle's uses one of his diabolical inventions on Gerty's chameleon, Leo finds he can make people invisible with a touch of his tongue. Foyle's plan involve discrediting his rival in the eyes of the Mayor.
At first, the scheme works. But Dr Dog soon turns the tables on his rival ... and ends up more famous !
# 09 Robodog
Dr. Dog cannot compete with Pa Gumboyle's latest acquisition: a robot dog. The mechanized canine outperforms Dr. Dog in every way and puts him to shame as far as normal doggie duties go. Realizing that his place is no longer in this home, Dr. Dog packs up and leaves. Little does he know that the Gumboyles will soon need him more than ever to cure their aches and woes, and to slay a mysterious dragon that appears on a stormy night.
# 10 - Celebrity
Vic Larsen, the famous anchorman, hits on the idea of a live interview of Dr Dog. Ratings will rocket ! But as he enters the Gumboyle home, he has an even better idea : a Gumboyle reality-show. The family fall for the anchorman's promises of instant fame and agree to be filmed 24 hours a day. But Vic pokes relentless fun at the Gumboyles before the television audience, making no secret of his contempt ... until Dr Dog sets about taking a terrible revenge on the callous anchorman !
# 11 - Wild Manimal
Foyle creates an alpha-kappa wave emitter that is supposed to regress Dr. Dog into a plain old doggie.
He buries the machine in the middle of the garden but alas, it has no effect on our hero. However, it works very efficiently on any humans in the vicinity.
During the absence of Pa and Ma, the Gumboyle children start to regress and behave like primitive cave-dwellers, or in other words, like a bunch of animals!
Unaware of the source of the problem, Dr. Dog will try to teach them to behave like the highly evolved creatures they are supposed to be, in the guise of teaching them tricks so they at least have the appearance of being civilized...
A dog training humans... talk about the world turned upside-down!
# 12 - Mutant Fleas
A strange illness spreads all over the Gumboyle neighbourhood. People don't walk anymore they leap ! As if they had fixed springs to their soles. The mayor appeals to Dr Dog and begs him to look into the matter. Dr Dog's investigation leads him to a drycleaner's shop, where he discovers a breed of mutant fleas, boosted by an extra powerful washing powder. As the fleas infest the neighbours' clothes, they cause the mysterious "leaping epidemic".
Dr Dog sets about finding a way to get rid of the pesky bugs.
# 13 - Sweets for Oktokissy
Who is the scoundrel who raids the kitchen cupboards every night and makes off with biscuits, sweets and chocolates galore ? At first Dr Dog and Ma suspect Gerty, but the little girl denies strenuously and accuses a kindly, greedy monster.
And the Gumboyles are forced to admit Gerty is right ... as they come upon a large soft and scary creature stealing candy from other neighbourhood kitchens. Junior Pouncefoot chucked the small octopus (he has fed it mostly candy), into the sewer. The animal has now grown into huge, mutant creature - and as sweet-toothed as ever.
# 14 - It's all for a giggle !
Fiona has her mind set on becoming a stage actress. Which would be fine if she could only read her lines without bursting into giggles !
Dr Dog discovers she has a stomach anomaly, "a giggling gut" and there's only one way to put it right : Fiona must live a real drama.
To this aim, Dog and Kev dress up as robbers and set about staging a fake burglary of the Gumboyle house. But they break into the wrong house and blunder into Margaret Pouncefoot's birthday dinner.
This time round, Fiona saves the day, as she moves her audience to tears.
