I give this game an overall 8/10.

Graphics: 7/10 Controls: 9/10 Re/Playability: 9/10 Storyline: 7/10

Basically, a good solid game. Nice adaptation to the DK series. Bongo controller surpassed my initial reservations. May need to get my hands on 3 more for multiplayer. A must buy for those who like the dancing/dj/drum/gu­itar type games.

Storyline not relevant to DK series – doesn't really matter its not mean't to be. I clocked the free jam section for points but replayability value had me doing it all over again and again. Graphically, Ive seen better. But for a breakout game in a genre Nintendo has never visited properly its a start.

NB. Don't buy if you don't appreciate people laughing at how ridiculously funny you look… or if you cant keep a beat to save your life! :)

Description

Join Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they drum and clap their way through hits old and new on a musical adventure that's more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Includes one DK Bongos controller.

One day, DK and Diddy discover a pair of odd barrels on a deserted beach. After showing the barrels to Cranky Kong, they learn the barrels are really a legendary musical instrument that plays music not only when you drum on it, but also when you clap. Donkey Kong and Diddy decide that they will become famous musicians, get rich, and buy all the bananas they could ever want.
