"One of my favourites"
5 stars"

“The Feast of the Drowned” is read by David Tennant and features The Tenth Doctor with companions, Rose Tyler and Mickey Smith. They investigate into how the brother of one of Rose's friends supposedly drowned after the navy ship he worked on went down at sea, but also how it ties in with the disappearances of several people near a naval base on the Thames. Its set on modern day Earth, but has plenty of scary monsters and extra terrestrial themes. David Tennant acts out each character's voice extremely well. I particularly enjoyed his portrayal of Mickey Smith. “The Feast of the Drowned” is definitely one of my most favourites in BBC's Doctor Who audiobook range. It has all the fast-paced action, adventure, mystery and humour of an episode of Doctor Who. Doctor Who fans of all ages will be entertained by this story. These stories are especially great to listen to when going to sleep, because its like having David Tennant read you a bedtime story. :)

Description

When a naval cruiser sinks in mysterious circumstances in the North Sea, all aboard are lost. Rose is saddened to learn that the brother of her friend, Keisha, was among the dead. But then he appears to them as a ghostly apparition, begging to be saved from the coming feast... the feast of the drowned. As the dead crew haunt loved ones all over London, the Doctor and Rose are drawn into a chilling mystery. What sank the ship, and why? When the cruiser’s wreckage was towed up the Thames, what sinister force came with it? The river’s dark waters are hiding an even darker secret, as preparations for the feast near their conclusion... Read by the Tenth Doctor himself, this exciting adventure features the Doctor and Rose, as played by David Tennant and Billie Piper in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television. Also included is an exclusive bonus interview with the author, Stephen Cole, compiled by David Darlington of Doctor Who Magazine. 2 CDs. 2 hrs 30 mins.
