Overall, this is a pretty good DVD – it contains the 3-part series finale of David Tennant's second season, and the First reappearance of the Master since (TV – 1989, or TV Movie 1996).
Really Cool: Martha Jones, The Master's regeneration (and subsequent voice change), the story timeline, the return of Captain Jack, and the revealing of his future self…
Not so Cool: To understand how the Master has managed to reappear, you need to have seen the 2 part episode on Volume 4. Secondly – the ending was rather weak, and thirdly, anyone who is a fan of the show knows that The Doctor is never going to be “The Last of the Time Lords”, we will see them back in the future. (I speculate – based on the fact that the Master always manages to survive, be resurrected, regenerated, or will steal a body.)
Overall though, a pretty good effort, just a shame about the weak ending.
