What is divine desperation? It's that point at which we so desire, so need, God's intervention that we become reckless in our faith, without regard to the consequences. It means we look to God to move us beyond our plight and into the fullness of restoration and provision, without concerning ourselves about what others might think of us. We are divinely desperate when the urgency for change is more powerful than the laughter, scorn, and ridicule of others. When we make a divinely desperate step of faith, we actually take God at His Word, without seeing or knowing the outcome. When we come to God out of divine desperation the very God of our salvation will make a way for us.
