This edition of the Persian mystic Muhammad Shirin Maghribi's work enables his mystic poetry to be studied, and illustrates his development within the Tabriz School of Poetry. Maghribi was a follower of Ibn 'Arabi, and played an important role in the development of the Sufi ghazal. His influence has been widespread and echoes of his verse can be found in the mystical poetry of Anatolia and in some Indian Sufi poetry as well.
