A real page turner where your left satisfied with the ending and was a very exciting read. Would love to see the Author do more Diablo series indeed!

"No real improvement, but hey more lore!"
2 stars"

I must say that this ending wasn't exactly how I pictured it. It was nice in a way, but at the same like felt very much I was tricked. A type of “ok we're out of ideas… I know!” ending. I must admit the lore behind the ending was very interesting and ultimately I wish more time had been spent on that. Also the epilogue hints at a new series based on another character, a much much more interesting character.

Overall an improvement over the terrible first entry in the series, but still quite a generic read without many suprise twists. From what I hear the author has written much better books, so maybe I just picked the very worst to start off with, we'll see.

Three thousand years before the darkening of Tristram, Uldyssian, son of Diomedes, was a simple farmer from the village of Seram. Content with his quiet, idyllic life, Uldyssian is shocked as dark events rapidly unfold around him. Mistakenly blamed for the grizzly murders of two travelling missionaries, Uldyssian is forced to flee his homeland and set out on a perilous quest to redeem his good name. To his horror, he has begun to manifest strange new powers, powers no mortal man has ever dreamed of. Now, Uldyssian must grapple with the energies building within him – lest they consume the last vestiges of his humanity.\f1\fs18 \par }
