"Very good"
5 stars"

The original DMC was the best game ever, DMC 2 was complete garbage, DMC3 was just like the original and is quite a challenge.Normal mode is like Titan mode on God of war. Its hardcore like Ninja Gaiden Sigma of the PS3.

"The 'Devil May Cry', but the player will be HAPPY"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

For an old PS2 game, this is great!

Its a “Special Edition” and this time round, you get to be the evil brother “Vergil” if you like.

No problems and full of action ALL THE WAY!!

"Possibly The Best DMC Game?"
5 stars"

I've Completed DMC 1, 2 & 4, but i think DMC 3 is possibly the best of them all.. reasons why? Because many questons have been answered on this part.

The Weapons on this part rayne supreme throughout all 4 parts which also they show how dominant Dante is. The combo system truely brings the best of the games legacy with fun gameplay and dynamic graphics i would easily reccommend this game to anyone who likes having fun slashing-shooting and style in their gameplay experience.

Also the Full introduction of Dante's Twin Brother Vergil who seems to steal the show in parts of the game because of how slick and cool he is.

What im questioning myself over is, who is cooler?

Dante Or Vergil?

"God of War on P"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I cut my teeth playing this sort of hack and slash games on PS2 on God of War. This takes God of War and violates it, in regards to difficulty. This game is hard. Like steal your lunch money and laugh at you hard. I almost threw my controller away in disgust when the first level boss smashed me for the 5th time. But if you persevere you learn the tricks to this game.

It is by no means the most polished game around. But it is fun, ridiculous in some of it's cut scenes, and challenging.

Also any video game where you get to wail on demon spawn with a guitar/sickle is sweet in my books

"It's freakin AWESOME"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I think the game is great because of the combat system, it is very easy to pick up and it is great that you can change weapons on the fly because it means you can go from long range to short range very quickly you also have unlimited bullets. The plot is great and I like it because unlike some hack and slash games there is a certain amount of strategy to it. I have played DMC 2 and DMC 3 is a great step up.

"Epic Story"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is technically the seccond part of the DMC story after the DMC 2 and then the first DMC (weird I know but you don't have to play them all to enjoy any of the games) This game has it all – Blood bath fights, Comedy, Suspence, Killer moves and an epic story about two brothers trying to surpass their deamon father in their own way

I love the entire DMC seires and this is the best game in my oppinion

Description

Several thousand years have passed since the demon warrior Sparda raised his sword against the unholy world to save the human race. Victorious and assured that evil forces had been confined, Sparda joined mankind and fathered Dante, a half human-half demon son infused with the power of a supernatural lineage. However, Dante was not the only son Sparda had sired. As devoted as Dante was to defeating the forces of evil, his twin brother, Vergil, was consumed by power and upheld the legacy of his sinister ancestors. One moonlit night, a mysterious tower materialized beside Dante's "Devil May Cry" investigative agency. On the rooftop stood his brother along with his inhuman minions goading Dante into a confrontation.

Devil May Cry 3 unfolds an earlier chapter in Dante's history, before the original Devil May Cry, to the fateful clash between Sparda's twin sons, divided by the divergence of their chosen paths. Along the way, Dante encounters formidable foes and unusual characters including a mysterious man named Arkham and a female hunter named Lady whose mission is to take down all demons, including Dante. These precursory events disclose the complex roots of Dante's character and reveal insight into his clouded past.

Devil May Cry 3 preserves the fast-paced action that has made the series so popular. In addition to its strong roots, the game increases the intensity of gameplay with a new "style" system, which adds an additional level of depth. Depending on preference, players can choose to use short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive play styles. Each system has its own range of gameplay features and players can choose to power up their favorite style for increased special attack abilities. The range of options available in Devil May Cry 3 immerses players in a non-stop, thrilling escapade.

Features:

  • New playable character - play as Dante's evil twin brother, Vergil, with his own unique "Dark Slayer" fighting style
  • New "Jester" enemy - previously featured only in cut scenes, Jester has been implemented as a new boss character
  • Two continue system options
    • Original yellow orb system - use yellow orbs to restart from the last checkpoint
    • New gold orb system - continue unlimited times and use gold orbs to resume from the same spot or replay from the last checkpoint if there are no gold orbs left
  • Adjusted difficulty levels offer more balanced gameplay as players choose from five options including a new Very Hard mode
  • Bloody Palace Mode - Dante is pitted against an onslaught of enemies in this survival mode
  • Movie Mode - Unlocked cut scenes can be viewed either one at a time or all in a row
