I've always been a fan of DMC since I love Hack 'n Slash and how much of a
challenge basic enemies can be at times. I bought this game through Steam with
a 2 for 1 deal which was great value for money – as it seemed, although
once downloaded I was very disappointed.
First off, I loaded the game up and it spawned in 640×480 resolution –
it's date of development should've at least had it at fullscreen – if the
COD series can do it why can't you CAPCOM- This of course was only the
beginning, I went on to set my controls and options unable to use the most
essential component of the PC – the mouse. Furthermore, I had to click every
possible key on my keyboard to find the usual “back” “select” and
“yes/no” keys. Straight away this put me off the game, I wanted to quit and
un-install immediately – but I soldiered on.
I got into the game with the usual CAPCOM style with missions and hack 'n
slash, but for the third instalment I felt it was really pathetic and the story
was something we've all seen before. I quit the game pretty quickly as it was
lacking in every area, unpolished and tacky.
I would not recommend this game as a cheap purchase, no matter
