Description

Excerpt from Developing Access to Science, Engineering, and Technology Resources for the General Assembly of North Carolina: Proposal/Grant No. Sp78-02509; January, 1979 The initial inventory of science/engineering/technology resources available to the State of North Carolina developed during the first quarter of the project has been expanded in two major areas during the second quarter. The first area of expansion includes heads of specific State agencies that deal with issues related to science/engineering/technology as a regular portion of their programatic responsibilities. A second area, the community college system, was also added and this expansion represents the addition of the trade and technical schools found in North Carolina that represent potential sources of science/engineering/technology data. This additional information has been entered into the computerized data storage system along with the previous information in the inventory. Each resource is indexed according to the agency, department, or other head of the group or institution in the inventory and as a result the information may be retrieved accurately and rapidly.
