R. 5094: Scheduled for a Hearing Before the Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures of the Committee on Ways and Means on April 10, 1984 The Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures of the House Committee on Ways and Means has scheduled a public hearing on March 19, 1985 to review the targeted jobs tax credit, which is scheduled to expire after December 31, 1985. The first part of the pamphlet is a summary. The second part discusses the legislative history of the targeted jobs credit, the present targeted jobs credit rules, and participation levels in the jobs credit program. Part three describes h.r. 983 (introduced by Messrs. Range], Wheat, and Campbell), which would extend the credit for five years and modify the credit rules In certain respects. Finally, an Appendix presents Department of Labor data on target ed jobs credit participation for fiscal years 1982 through 1984.
