This is a fantastic book. I tried the scone recipe as soon as it arrived. The first gluten free one to have in any way resembled a light scone that you would wish to serve your gluten free guests. There are lots that I will bake. This book is definitely a keeper.

"GF title very misleading"

Good looking book, but disappointed to find that just over a quarter of the main recipes are NOT GF.

The title implies that ALL recipes are GF with added options to make the GF recipes Dairy Free, Egg Free or Vegan. This is not the case. Of the cookies, slices, and scone recipes, 18 are GF alone or also and/or DF/EF/V, while 2 are not GF. With the cupcake recipes 10 are GF alone or in combinations with DF/EF/V and 7 are not GF. Of the 7 cake recipes, 4 are GF and/or are DF/EF/V as well, and 3 are not GF.

So, in this supposedly Gluten Free cook book, a quarter of the recipes would make people with Gluten issues very sick.

I do look forward to trying some of the GF recipes in the near future.

You will find delicious treats that everyone can enjoy, even if they have an intolerance or allergy. Each recipe is annotated gluten, dairy, egg or nut free for quick and easy reference and all the special ingredients are listed and explained at the front of the book. With recipes for cookies, slices, macarons, scones, cupcakes, light fluffy sponges, and rich fruit cakes, this tempting collection of baking will entice even the novice baker into the kitchen. The beautiful photographs demonstrate Tamara's skill as a patissier, with the pretty decorative detailing that makes all the difference when it comes to creating tantalising treats.

Author Biography

Award-winning patissier chef Tamara Jane has worked throughout Europe, America and Australasia. Her designer cupcake business called Tempt is found in Wellington, New Zealand. Divine Cupcakes, her first book with New Holland, was published in 2009 and is now in its fifth reprint. Tamara followed this with Celebration Cupcakes in 2011, which reprinted the same year. She is married with three children. Devin Hart works as a freelance photographer with experience in food, commercial and wedding photography. He photographs on commission for Getty Images. Food photography has been his focus for the past three years, and his work appears regularly in New Zealand magazines. He has photographed four cookbooks and Decadent Gluten-free Treats is his third publication with New Holland.
