If you expect this game to be like Dead Rising, you are wrong. This game is like Resident Evil 5 with better gameplay. The graphics are just brilliant (you can see sand swirling in the air on the beach). So far, the only thing I dislike about the game are the characters, they are all hot-shots with problems. Otherwise, ITS ABOUT TIME THEY RELEASE AN AWESOME ZOMBIE GAME!!!!!!!!!

Hours and hours of fun played it on ps3 and pc I would go with the pc one if u can , best graphics iv ever seen on a videogame

Hi I am a loyal Resident Evil fan from RES 1 to RES 5 and these are scary the way I like it,but when I played DEAD ISLAND !!! THIS GAME TAKES SCARY TO A NEW LEVEL,so if want to go to bed at night with sweet dreams forget it,if you want nightmares and scare your friends this is the game for you.

Slashing your way through a horde of zombies with hundreds of weapons- Awesome. I am now on my second playthrough of the game which has taken my game time up to nearly two days. The story campaign is vast, not including the time that you will definitely take out for side quests. This game is pure zombie killing fun, made more so by the realistic zombie cries and head-exploding graphics.

Despite all this attention to detail though, the facial animation for characters is…subpar to put it nicely but that won't detract from the experience of surviving on Dead Island!

About half way through and feels like ive been playing it for ages, very tense and cant put the controller down!!! Only downside-not enough guns but im told they have more as you progress through:)

Dead island is packing killer looks, and pure awesome game-play, if you love zombie games look no further!

The only problem is technically the game is very buggy, i know they already released a patch to fix various things, but unfortunately its made things worse by deleting save data and trophy stats, hopefully they will fix this soon.

so bare in mind its not flawless technically, but game play wise they nailed the zombie genre.

This game is awesome! A blend of FPS and RPG elements make it a different take on a classic game theme. Definitely worth the money! Only slight problem with the PS3 version was not being able to go online and have the progress save, but this is being fixed in a patch that's very near… All up well worth it!

Great game. Just wishiing I had of bought the GOTY edition now. Some of the weapons you can make are pretty narly. Plus who doesnt enjoy bashing the living deads brains in with a spiked baseball bat.

Whilst the graphics were pretty good, just couldn't get into it. Made absolutely no sense that in the middle of a zombie apocalypse you go around searching peoples luggage for items to sell so you can upgrade your skills. Much prefer walking dead survival instinct despite it's ‘lower’ quality because it makes sense.

Game starts off as a survival horror, but as it goes on and you become more badass, it becomes a fun light hearted arcade FPS. Recommended to play as the Brute, Blunt weapon expert on your first playthrough. :D

Yes, I wrote that correctly… Simulator. Dead Island puts you right in the middle of an all out infestation, pick your character, increase your skills, it will not matter, you will still be lucky to survive. Not to say this game difficult, in fact some missions are pretty easy while others are almost painfully difficult. That is ot a complaint. You can choose if you want to do a mission, be a hero or the guy who only looks out for himself. Your call, but help others and gain more skills.

The only complaint I have for DI is that graphically there are a number lf of glitches and the in game movies are poorly rendered, especially when it comes to talking. This is not a big deal as you did not come here to wacth movies, you came here to splatter zombies. And splatter you will! Decapitations, barbeque, crushing head sunder your boots, etc, it is all in here in great gory detail. Dim the lights, Turn up the 5.1 and drive the dead back to hell! Dead Island is the best zombie outbreak game you will ever play!

I have wanted for a free roam game where you can just run around and kill zombies since zombie games came out on the shelves that have no time limit; don't have to do things right then and there, etc… This game was better then I expected it to be, if you like free-roam based games (borderlands, etc…) that are first person shooter then this is for you. I suggest people get this game from here because:

1. Its cheap
2. Its the R18 version
3. Just because it's good

Must have for zombie fans like myself.

Super fun zombie destroying, a variety of weapons ready to be modded for undead mashing mayhem with a decent story and a good online is a very good choice for zombie killing enthusiasts

Haven't played too much, so this is a limited experience. The game is fun, but there are a few sound and framerate glitches. Though if you like Borderlands/Dead Rising/FPS hitting stuff, then I recommend it.

The detail involved in making this game would be staggering and the have achieved this in a well rounded game of violence and gore

Amazing game play, great for any Zombie fan!

It is a very good game but after a while the story can get repetitive and boring once you get all the weapons but apart from that its always fun going around with friends on missions playing around killing zombies :)
