How one game can combine all the best elements of my favourite games together so flawlessly, I don't know. Somehow, Darksiders manages to out-Devil-May-Cry Devil May cry, out-Tomb-Raider Tomb Raider, and out-Portal Portal. The ONLY flaw in the PC version was that controlling War's horse was a little hard, but I hear that's easier on the console version. All in all, I rate this game a must have. Six out of five.

Steam is hopeless. Darksiders is a console game complete with unnecessary obstacles and predictable bosses. Also it has bugs!

To start off, the bad things:

1. You need to go through the hassle and trouble of installing Steam and getting an account.
2. You have to be extremely careful about getting this regarding the specs on your computer. I met the minimum specs easily enough but had major issues running the game because of the “Impenetrable Grey Fog”. It took me nearly all night to get around this technicality.

The good things:

1. Amazing detail. I often took the time just to look around at the scenery.
2. The gameplay itself provides the tutorial because War (the player) loses all the abilities and you have to play the game to find them again
3. Gameplay is not repetitive. All the boss fights build on each other but you can to continually go a step further for the next one
4. Lot of gametime possible on here, ~18–20hrs if you go direct for the end, a lot more if you decide to hunt around for all the bonuses and armour pieces etc.

I'm glad I got it, but pretty annoyed with the Steam and actually getting it to run on my computer (will love it more when I can play it on a better desktop)
