James H. Moor is Professor of Philosophy at Dartmouth College. He developed early computer programs to teach symbolic logic and is the co-author of ‘The Logic Book' (1998). He has been Chair of the American Philosophical Association Committee on Philosophy and Computing and a Fellow at the Harvard Information Infrastructure Project. He is co-editor of the journal Minds and Machines and a member of the editorial board for the journal Ethics and Information Technology. He is currently President of the Society for Machines and Mentality. Terrell Ward Bynum is Director of the Research Center on Computing and Society at Southern Connecticut State University. He has been Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics of the Association for Computing Machinery and Chair of the Committee on Philosophy and Computing of the American Philosophical Association. For 25 years, he was Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Metaphilosophy. His previous publications include books, articles, video programs and CD-ROMs in applied philosophy, philosophical psychology, artificial intelligence, philosophy of mathematics, metaphilosophy and the teaching of philosophy.
