Author Biography

Nacido en Bruselas en 1914, durante una estancia temporal de sus padres en esa ciudad, Julio Cort zar es uno de los escritores argentinos m s importantes de todos los tiempos. Realiz estudios de Letras y de Magisterio y trabaj como docente en varias ciudades del interior de Argentina. En 1951 fij su residencia definitiva en Par s, desde donde desarroll una obra literaria nica dentro de la lengua castellana. Algunos de sus cuentos se encuentran entre los m s perfectos del g nero. Su novela Rayuela conmocion el panorama cultural de su tiempo y marc un hito insoslayable dentro de la narrativa contempor nea. Cort zar muri en Par s en 1984.
