Author Biography:

Carol S. Fitzpatrick has a passion for helping struggling readers. When her own children were forced to deal with the frustration and humiliation of dyslexia, she went back to school to learn how to teach them to read and was trained in several different Orton-Gillingham methods. The same methods she used to home school both of her sons have worked for many more struggling readers over the past 35 years in her career as a public school teacher, reading specialist, and college instructor. Now, when Carol isn't tutoring, she travels throughout the country speaking on successful intervention practices in reading instruction.
