"Crosstralia" is a travel book based on actual itineraries, planned and then undertaken in Australia by the author. Written in a readable style, the book captures the essential nature of the diverse parts of the country, the sights, places, experiences and people encountered during extensive travel around the continent, north, south, east, west and centre. The book addresses the type of questions travellers have such as: Where? What? When? and How? There is geographical and historical detail believed to be of interest to the reader, relating to the areas and places visited, integrated into the text where appropriate. This unique blend of information in one book enables a greater understanding and therefore appreciation of what one sees, for the discerning independent traveller. "Crosstralia" is invaluable to people hoping to visit Australia, especially those going there for the first time, across the age ranges and to Australians themselves exploring their own country.
The author is a travel book writer, specialising in itinerary-based travel within Australia and New Zealand. A Geographer by profession, who has travelled the world, her career has been in the field of Education and Training, including lecturing in Geography in Higher Education. Some of her work has been presented to the Royal Geographical Society.
