Description

Cream epitomised mid 1960's blues-rock. With their roots grounded in Chicago blues, the group's excursions into lengthy solos and free-form improvisation blazed a trail for others to follow.

Combining the genius of Clapton, fresh from success with The Yardbirds and Bluesbreakers, plus the pedigree of drummer Ginger Baker and bassist Jack Bruce, Cream became rock's first 'supergroup', breaking new ground with extended improvisations in live shows and forays into psychedelia.

To many the musicians in Cream represented the best players of their respective musical instruments - the 'cream' British rock had to offer in the mid 60's.

Mixed blues standards such as Spoonful and I'm so Glad and classics from the first album Fresh Cream feature alongside the mind bending Sunshine Of Your Love and White Room.

Previously unreleased footage of the band and a rare performance by Jimi Hendrix on Sunshine Of Your Love makes Cream Strange Brew a must have for any fans' collection.
