Description

"The TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) is a new high school equivalency test that provides an alternative to the GED test. The test, which can be taken either with pencil/paper or online, comprises 5 sections- Mathematics, Reading, Writing (including an essay), Science, and Social Studies. As of June 2015, 10 states have or are adopting the TASC- -IN, NJ, NY, NV, and WV currently offer the exam -CA, IL, NC, SC, and WY will offer it in 2016 and beyond -Of these, NY, IN, and WV use the TASC exclusively (no GED or HiSets given in state) Cracking the TASC is a brand-new entry in The Princeton Review's flagship series and provides a soup-to-nuts approach to this intimidating test. (The TASC battery is almost 7.5 hours long and is taken over a 2-day period.) In it, the experts at The Princeton Review provide general TASC information and logistics, including scoring; a content review section comprising chapters organized by subject and topic, with end-of-chapter drills; and two full-length practice tests. The book will also come with access to an online Student Tools site with updates on TASC changes (as the testing body plans to roll out updates periodically)."
