Description

This volume of some of Disney’s best holiday moments includes The Prince and the Pauper, The Art of Skiing, Winter Storage, Alpine Climbers, Donald’s Snow Fight, Wynken, Blynken and Nod and The Small One.

‘The Prince and the Pauper’ is Disney's version of Mark Twain's story about a quest to find England's rightful ruler as pauper Mickey takes the place of a royal double, but falls prey to Regent Pete's power-grabbing plans. Join this magical "mouse-querade" in a kingdom where comedy reigns supreme!

Goofy gives an hilarious sporting lesson in ‘The Art of Skiing’ responding to the droll professorial narration. The result is a side-splitting visual depiction of "how not to" accomplish the task being described. But through it all, Goofy remains undaunted, ready to move on to the next lesson sometimes forward, sometimes backwards, but one way or another he makes it down the mountain.

It’s Chip 'n' Dale's main aim in life to amass as big a stockpile as possible of acorns. But their rations are running low in ‘Winter Storage’. What better place to find them than Park Ranger Donald's tree seeding project. Not surprisingly Ranger Donald is not impressed.

Alpine Climbers, Mickey, Donald, and Pluto embark on an adventure as they climb up into the Alps in search of eagle's eggs and edelweiss but find more than they anticipated in the form of a mother eagle and a mountain goat.

Those three cheerful souls, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who represent mischievous children all over the world, make their poor Uncle Donald’s life a misery. In ‘Donald’s Snow Fight’ it's all out snow-war between Donald and his nephews after getting Donald's dander up in a sledding "accident".

Based on the poem by Eugene Field, the elaborate dream fantasy of ‘Wynken, Blynken and Nod’ sees three little boys sail across the sky fishing for golden stars from their flying boat in the form of a wooden clog with sails using candy walking sticks as fishing hooks. But not all is smooth sailing. The cute threesome must contest with rogue comets, storms and tangled hooks.

The Small One is a heart-felt Christmas story of a young boy tries to honour the promise to his best friend a donkey called the Small One. The young boy has sworn he will sell him to an owner who will love and cherish him as much as he does. But no one wants the scrawny little donkey and, when it looks like Small One will have to end his life at the tanner's, a kind man comes along who needs a gentle donkey to carry his wife to Bethleham...
