Author Biography

Don Burgess has written numerous books for and about the Tarahumara of Chihuahua, Mexico. Born in Texas, he is a linguist/translator of Ralamuli, who has lived in the Sierra since the 1960s. Don Burgess ha escrito numerosos libros para y sobre los tarahumaras de Chihuahua, Mexico. Nacido en Texas, es linguista y traductor del ralamuli que ha vivido en la Sierra desde la decada de 1960. Bob Schalkwijk moved to Mexico from the Netherlands in 1958. Three books about the Tarahumara, their landscapes and people published in 1975, 1985 and 2014 distinguish his work. To date, his more than 400,000 photographs span 45 countries. Bob Schalkwijk llego a Mexico de Holanda en 1958. Entre sus publicaciones destacan tres libros de la tarahumara, sus paisajes y habitantes publicados en 1975, 1985 y 2014.
