The K70 RGB, with what it offers, is not worth $289 at all. It has a nonstandard bottom row making keycap replacement difficult (which is an instant deal breaker for me since the stock keycaps are terrible) and RGB lighting tied to Corsair's software that doesn't really work. The build quality is alright, better than Razer and Logitech's boards but still not as good as other boards from Ducky, Cooler Master, IKBC/Vortex, etc. MX Speed switches are a gimmick, they're simply an MX red with a slightly higher actuation point. I'm personally not a fan of linear switches, and they don't make you better at video games, as what switch you perform best with is completely down to personal preference. Overall, the K70 is alright, but not for $289.
